The leader of SnowClan stirred in his den as the cool morning breeze blew through. He stood and shook the mossy bedding from his pelt and gave a big yawn and luxurious stretch before heading out of his den. The shown in the pale morning light and he sighed. Another peaceful morning for SnowClan.
Thornflower was already awake as she saw Fadedstar pad out of his den. She sat outside, getting ready to go on an herb hunt. "Good morning Fadedstar." She said pleasently.
Fadedstar's ears twitched as he heard a familiar voice. He turned and smiled as his eyes fell on the medicine cat Thornflower. His own sister. "Good morning Thornflower. How was your night?" He asked her.
"It was fine." She said simply. "No omens from StarClan so it looks like SnowClan is in good shape for now. I am heading out to hunt for some herbs. Running low of yarrow and borage leaves."

Darkear's sea green eyes slowly opened and he shook. Standing up, he went out of the stuffy warriors den and saw Fadedstar, his leader. He padded over to Fadedstar and mewled quietly, "Good morning, Fadedstar." He heard a familiar voice coming towards him and turned. "Hey, Darkear!" It was Littleflower, his mate, "Hey, Littleflower!" Darkear became happier and happier every moment as Mudkit and Mistkit came running into the clearing. "Daddy, look what we found!" Mistkit mewled, holding a baby mouse in her mouth. "Wow!" Darkear replied, turning back to Fadedstar.

Duskyshadow came out of her den and watched as a little kit came up to Darkear, a mouse in her mouth. Duskyshadow didn't feel any emotions as she watched, simply observed the innocent young kit being rewarded by her dad. Duskyshadow had closed her mind to that sort of affection long ago, but she didn't think about that. She slinked up to the others, said good morning and bounded off to catch breakfast.

Mistkit and Mudkit watched Duskyshadow as she passed along and Mistkit looked at Mudkit. "What, Mistkit?" Mudkit mewled to Mistkit, a sour look on his face, "What?" Mistkit started shying away and went to the back of Fadedstar. She gave mrrow of laughter as her brother started chasing her in circles around the leader. Littleflower noticed and snapped, "Mistkit, Mudkit! Don't do that!" Mistkit stopped and Mudkit crashed into her. "Watch it, Mudkit!" Darkear gave a mrrow of laughter as he watched the kits fighting and his mate trying to get them, "So cute." Littleflower gave up on trying to get them and walked over to Darkear, "Wow. They have speed like you, Darkear." Darkear looked at Littleflower, "Why, yes. They do."
Mudkit looked back over at Duskyshadow and Mistkit came up and sat beside him. "We should talk to that one." Mudkit mewled to his sister, pointing his right forepaw towards Duskyshadow. "Yeah, let's go!" Mistkit replied, starting off towards Duskyshadow. Mudkit dragged along after his sister and stopped right in front of Duskyshadow. Mistkit looked up at Duskyshadow and mewled, "Hi."

Fadedstar simply laughed as the kits started to run circles around his feet. He had found himself trapped by the whirling circle of kits before they headed off towards Duskyshadow. "Good morning Darkear, Littleflower. Quite a lively litter you have Littleflower." He said with a nod, a smile still lingering on his face. "Has the dawn patrol departed yet?" He asked his deputy.
Thornflower padded over to the queen. "How are you doing Littleflower? Is there anything you need?" She asked the queen, concerned if she was running low of milk for the kits or if the kits were growing well.

Littleflower gave a glare at Fadedstar and turned to Thornflower, "I'm good, thanks. Just totally stressed." She then ran after her trouble-making kits, "Mudkit, Mistkit get back over here!" Darkear chuckled as he watched his mate chase after the energetic kits and replied to his leader, "Not yet, sir. I was just planning to tell...." he trailed off and his eyes widened. Mistkit was about to cross the camp border. Littleflower was to worn out to catch Mistkit. Darkear started running over to Mistkit and once he reached her, he grabbed her by his neck and brought her back to where Fadedstar was standing. Putting his kit down, Littleflower came over with Mudkit. Littleflower glared at Fadedstar again, and Darkear looked at Littleflower in a confused way.

Fadedstar did not react outwardly to the glare of the queen, but was confused as to why she was glaring at him at all. He shook it off and looked to Darkear once he came back. "Alright then, get the patrol ready and send them off. Also send out a couple of hunting patrols. The fresh-kill is crowfood by now."
Thornflower nodded. "I believe that.." She replied as Darkear and Littleflower ran after their kits.

Darkear nodded at Fadedstar, looked at his mate, then took off to the warriors den. He called out a couple of warriors to go on dawn patrol and hunting patrol, and they were off. Darkear quickly ran to Fadedstar, "I'm going to go with the dawn patrol, ok?" He ran off to follow the cats that were on dawn patrol.
Littleflower was still glaring, "They are lively, sir, but, by far, the most annoying kits a queen could have." She stared at Fadedstar, not aware of her kits. Mistkit and Mudkit were standing in front of the fresh-kill pile, about to grab something. "No, Mudkit, Mistkit!" Littleflower called out, running after them.

Fadedstar watched her follow after her kits. "I'm sure she is exaggerating...Right Thornflower?" He looked to his sister and medicine cat for reassurance. "They can't be that bad..." He had never had a mate so he wouldn't know what it was like to have kits of his own.
Thorndlower smiled and nudged Fadedstar. "Littleflower is young and this is her first litter. And the kits are quite lively so i could see how she believes them to be the most annoying kits a queen could have, but they are just kits. And with all that enegry and curiosity, they will be quick learners and excellent appretinces and then warriors, just like their parents." She said smiling. "Well I have to go check my stores and stock up on herbs." She said giving a nod to her brother before retreating to her den.
Fadedstar nodded and was reassured by Thornflower's words. Her wisdom in any matter presented to her made it very clear that she was a medicine cat chosen by StarClan. He padded after Littleflower and the kits, attempting to help her catch the kits.

Littleflower paused when she saw Fadedstar helping her and mewled quietly, "Thanks, Fadedstar." She continued on chasing after the kits, and caught Mistkit by the scruff of her neck. "Never do that again! Do you understand?" Littleflower mewled to Mistkit. Mistkit looked sad and mewled back, "Yes, mom." Littleflower nodded her head and set Mistkit down, making sure she wouldn't leave that spot, and took off after Mudkit.

Fadedstar had quickly caught up to Mudkit and brought him back over to his mother. He placed him down at her feet, next to his sister. "There you are Littleflower." He said with a nod, and backing away a bit, giving the queen some room to deal with her kits.
Thornflower padded out of her den, leaves in her mouth for gathering herbs. "I'll be back Fadedstar!" She called before heading out to the herb gathering field.

Littleflower looked gratefully at Fadedstar and bowed her head. She picked Mudkit up by his scruff and carried him into the nursery, flicking her tail to tell Mistkit to come. Mistkit padded slowly after her mother, looking back at Fadedstar every couple of pawsteps. Littleflower settled down in the nursery and Mistkit came and cuddled up to her.

Fadedstar smiled and watched the kits follow their mother. They were only kits, it's not their fault if the misbehaved, they don't know better. He stretched padded over to the entrance to the camp, awaiting the return of the dawn patrol.

Darkear padded into the clearing and sat to talk with the other warriors. He finished and stepped slowly over to Fadedstar, bowing his head. "Sir, we scented AshClan on our territory. It was fresh." he meowed, looking up at Fadedstar, with a concerned look on his face, "Very fresh."

Fadedstar's ears went forward and his fur fluffed out a little. "Where did you find this scent Darkear?"
