Whirlingstrike sat at the border between NightClan and SnowClan, waiting for a patrol to pass. She made sure to stay on their side of the border and to wait in hiding before the patrol came.

Whitestar rounded a bush with a couple cats following her. She noticed the scent of the calico she-cat sitting near the border. Whitestar ran over and yowled, "What do you want?" She stared, with her mismatched eyes, at the place where Whirlingstrike was hiding.

Whirlingstrike revealed herself, but also being careful to stay on the SnowClan side of the border. "Fadedstar sent me to speak with you." She said, her tone respectful towards the leader. "He wants to know what wrong is distressing you."

Whitestar growled. Her voice was hoarse from all the yelling she had done in the past days. "Come over here." She lashed the ground with her fluffy white tail, motioning for Whirlingstrike to sit next to her. "I won't hurt you, I promise. What is your name?" She stared into Whirlingstrike's eyes.

Whirlingstrike walked up to the leader, showing pride in her Clan and her mission but walked over with an air of caution for the leader. "Whirlingstrike." She said.

Whitestar looked at the SnowClan warrior. "Whirlingstrike. Nice to meet you." she meowed. "The wrong that is distressing me. Kits. Firethorn's kits. Emberkit has disappeared!" Whitestar looked around, panic spreading across her face, as if she had just heard the news. "Firethorn told me SnowClan did it. You evil cats. I had trusted Fadedstar. Why would he do it? What have I done to him?"

"Fadedstar did nothing to wrong your noble Clan." She said with respect. "Littleflowers kit, Mistkit has gone missing as well." She said looking up to Whitestar. "I know I can say with deepest sympathy from my whole Clan that Firethorn's missing kit is a terrible loss. We are also suffering the same fate." She looked back to her Clan's territory for a moment and then back to Whitestar. "Noble Whitestar. What if our clans worked together to find our missing kits?"

Whitestar looked at her paws. She meowed, "I'll have to speak with Fadedstar. Please tell him to meet me tomorrow, Fourtrees, at sunhigh." She looked up to Whirlingstrike again.
