Fadedstar padded into the camp with his group from the gathering, scowling and snarling as he spoke to himself. "Who does that Whitestar think she is! I'll Teacher her to mess with SnowClan!" He said a little louder, padding towards his den.

Darkear stared past his leader, still thinking about what Whitestar had said about him being scrawny. He scrunched up his nose and ran to the nursery, to find Littleflower. "Littleflower?" he called when he reached the nursery. Littleflower poked her nose out. "What?" she snapped grumpily due to the lack of sleep. "Just checking in. Are the kits okay?" Littleflower nodded and turned back into the nursery. Darkear padded over to the warriors' den.

Thornflower followed after her brother into his den. "Fadedstar...I don't know whats gotten into Whitestar, but she's not right." She looked to Fadedstar sternly. "You can not let the Clan go to war over this!"
"So you want me to just let her get away with it Thornflower? Let her insult Darkear? SnowClan? You of all cats! You're a medicine cat for StarClan's sake! She is a leader! She should no better than to do such things!" He yowled loudly. So loud that it echoed through his den and out into the camp where all cats could hear him.
Thornflower looked to him, again just as stern. "Do you not listen Fadedstar. She is not right! We need to figure out what is wrong with her before we risk the few cats we have in SnowClan." She said standing. "I will go to the Moonpool and see if StarClan knows whats going on with her. Will that settle you?"
Fadedstar just looked at his sister and lashed his tail back and forth in anger. "Fine. Do as you please Thornflower. I will wait until I hear from you before I decide if SnowClan will engage NightClan."

Darkear jumped when he heard Fadedstar's yowl. He stopped what he was doing and padded silently to his leader's den. He sat outside, still thinking about the rude NightClan leader.

Thornflower turned and pushed past Darkear, his fur fluffed out a bit with irritation. "I need to go to the Moonpool." She said flatly to the deputy. "If you need anything, Silverpaw can help you." She said walking off, out of camp towards the Moonpool.
Fadedstar watched his sister go, still irritated. "You may enter Darkear." He said, with his back to the deputy.

Darkear slowly entered his leader's den. "Fadedstar." he meowed, "What are we going to do? Whitestar is not herself." He stared at Fadedstar's back. "I hope there's no war. We can't stand a war with such little cats! There's no point. SnowClan would crash, Fadedstar." Darkear's voice raised into a yowl. "Why would we go to war with such little cats? It's all stupid, Fadedstar!" He turned his back on Fadedstar. "There's no point."

Fadedstar lashed his tail back and forth in anger. "I know this Darkear. I am hoping Thornflower comes back with news that will save our Clan. But we cannot back down in front of Whitestar either." He said turning his head to look over his shoulder at Darkear.

Darkear didn't say anything. He was too angry. "Well," he started, but didn't finish. He stared, open-mouthed, at the top of Fadedstar's den. He shook his head and started to near the entrance to Fadedstar's den. "I hope Thornflower actually has something good to say." he spat, annoyed.

Fadedstar had seemed to calm down a bit. He looked to Darkear. "Thornflower will not let us down."

Darkear hissed, "I do hope so, Fadedstar! If I could, I'd go right now and wipe out all of Whitestar's remaining lives." He lashed his tail, unsheathed his claws and walked swiftly towards Fadedstar. "But someone wouldn't allow it!" He lashed his tail again and neared Fadedstar.

Fadedstar stood. "Darkear! What's gotten into you?! I know Whitestar got under your fur but you need to calm down. We can't be so reckless when dealing with interClan relationships!" He fluffed out his fur and unsheathed his claws as well, waiting for an attack.

Darkear paid no attention to his leader and slowly padded towards the entrance of his leader's den. He meowed after him, "Every leader in this forest has ticked me off, Fadedstar, including you." With that, he stepped out of Fadedstar's den and stood in the middle of the camp. He started yelling names for cats to go on patrol and when the cats left, he slowly left the entrance to the camp.

Fadedstar looked after Darkear and let his fur fall flat. He look sat and just stared out. A shadow fell across the entrance. He jumped, with claws extended. "Fadedstar...I'm back." the cat said and walked in. He calmed down quickly when he realized it was Thornflower. "Oh...Thornflower...its you..." Fadedstar said, sitting back down. "What did you learn from StarClan?"
"Whitestar thinks that you stole a kit from NightClan. One of Firethorn's kits is missing..." She said looking to him.
"She thinks what?!" He said, his hackles raising again. His tail began to lash in fury again. "Who does she think I am?!"
"Fadedstar you need to calm down. You need to meet with her on neutral ground and talk to her. It will be hard but you need to settle this civilly before you go to war. If you don't, it could mean the end of SnowClan." She said flatly.
Fadedstar looked to his sister and sighed. "I will do as you say. I will send a messenger in NightClan and I will try to get her to agree to a meeting at Fourtrees."

Littleflower stepped out of the nursery and her face turned confused when Darkear ran out of camp. She wanted to follow, but she didn't know what he was doing. She slowly walked to Fadedstar's den and waited outside, wanting to speak to him. A lot of questions buzzed through her mind. Why did Darkear look so mad? Why did he leave so quickly? What was going on? She shook her head and wondered why her mate looked so mad. "Fadedstar? Is everything all right? I don't think Darkear is very happy!" she meowed.

Fadedstar padded out of his den with Thornflower. He looked to Littleflower, not looking to hot himself. "Darkear isn't too well right now..." was all he said as he continued walking.
